What to wear with a red dress ...

I have a red dress (knee length, a bit floaty) I'm planning to wear for a wedding next weekend.

But now panicking what to wear with it. Black shoes (or would that be too stark a contrast?), cardigan over the top?

Are there any other colours in the dress that you can pick out to match shoes with?
If floaty maybe sandals would loook better than shoes?

Dress is all red - there is some embroidery and sewn on flower shapes (sorry I am rubbish at description) on the top. Sandals are possibly the way to go but I am a wimp and worrying about getting cold .

I do think black works best but for a wedding I would go quite strappy

Personally I think the neutral ones are best but obviously depends on what shade of red the dress is.

what colour is the embroidery?

I would go for purple, looks great with red.

I think black patent, but I can see sandals working in gold/ neutral.
