I bought some long boots yesterday from clarks.
They were just the colour, style I wanted [kind of smart kind of biker] but they were a 3 and I am a 4.
Anyway I bought them cos I could get them on and and wiggle my toes etc but they did feel a bit tight over the bridge bit of my foot.
So does anyone have any idea how to stretch them a bit.
I put wet newspaper in them last night and put them in the airing cupboard til this afternoon but that seemed to make them tighter I actually have them on now[they were a bit damp] and as aid they feel ok on toes and back it is just the bridge.
Please help me with my gorgeous ,bargainous boots.
I got em for 24 pounds instead of ninety which is still a lot of money for me.

clarks will stretch them for you free! i used to work there as a sat girl years ago and we did it for customers all the time...we had a shoe tree that you could expand to stretch the boot/shoe

Why didn't you get the right size?
Always get the right size.
Can you wear them with very thin socks/ tights-like socks for more room?

You can buy leather stretching spray in a can. Not sure how well it works though.

Be very careful with tight shoes - I've got big lumps on my feet trying to squeeze into shoes that were too short when I was 15.

Have you looked on-line to see if you can get the bigger size ?

barbie1 · 15/02/2009 05:35

Its takes about 24 hours leaving them in the device in store, or like suggested by somebody else phone a couple of other brancjes close by and if they have your size make a short trip and exchange them?
