Hate buying jeans

Hello, can anyone suggest a good place to buy jeans that actually fit if you aren't a size 0? I'm 5' 5" (short) and typcially curvy- big bum, depressingly 16-18 post sprog.. I can never find jeans that fit- if they fit round the bum, they gape massively at the waist and also inevitably end up way too long at the ankle and my boot heels wear through them. I've tried Gap and Levi's, and often just won't bother to try other brands cos its too stressful! Has anyone had any success elsewhere?

I'll probably be x-posting with lots of others, but try Hula at New Look. £10 and a good fit for curves. They have them in a range of lengths, too.

When did you last try Gap they have a new range called curvy out which is actually quite good.

ahem

Cheeseismyweakness · 13/02/2009 20:15

ta- never would have thought to look at faithful m&s for jeans- always walk past them thinking they'll be made of that slightly stretchy denim...!

Got to be worth a punt at £12 try 'em on - the verdict on that thread is that they are v generous sizes so comfy too

Honestly the cut on them is amazing

I cannot vouch for any other jeans at M and S, just the £12 ones

Cheeseismyweakness · 13/02/2009 20:18

i'll let you know how i get on!

Agree with BALD, was going to link to her thread! Definitely order a size down though, my usual size was way too big.

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 13/02/2009 20:22

oh Cheese, I hear your words loud and clear about M & S. I bought some skinny/straight leg jeans from their Limited Collection 2 years ago.....took me ages to admit to everyone where they came from

cmotdibbler · 13/02/2009 20:26

I'm a fan of the 12 quid jeans too - on me they don't come right up to my waist, but are lovely and high to keep my tum in and are super comfy. They are slightly stretchy, and that is what I think makes them work

The M&S skinny jeans on the other hand are rubbish

BoysAreLikeDogs · 13/02/2009 20:26

Awww look at us all tucking in our tummies

Cheeseismyweakness · 24/02/2009 14:27

they ain't bad for £12- i'm impressed and will prob buy more... Ta!

New Look hula used to be my fave until I tore them pulling them up.

M&S £12 jeans are the best. Have 3 pairs.
