thank you!

Pokey, well done!
To be honest, the size you are matters much less than your shape. When you lose weight, your basic body shape stays the same IYSWIM. Are you hourglass (big boogs, small waist, bigger hips), pear (smaller boobs and waist, bigger bum, hips, thigh) etc. If you can describe your shape, we'll be able to give you better suggestions.
Have a look at this and click Gok's Style Consultation which should help.
Completely agree that the best place to start is with decent, well fitting underwear. After losing so much weight, you will need to be properly fitted for new bras.
Also a budget?
(Can you tell I do this for a living )

Ok according to the god that is GOK (he came from here, we actually know some of the same people lol!! can i class that as a connection!?!?)

im a BUXOM BEAUTY so im guessing that comes under hourglass figure, i have largeish boobs a small waist (now!) and slightly bigger hips but there not massive if that makes sense!

so how best to dress that?!

am thinking i like the boho look..........

Well, whatever your own personal 'style', the trick to dressing hourglass figures is to make the most of your assets.
All your clothing needs to accentuate your figure so you should always go for clothes that are well cut and fitted. Avoid high necklines at all costs!
A high necked shift like this whilst looking fab on a woman with no curves to speak of, is not going to do you a lot of favours.
OK, a mum's capsule wardrobe for me would include
bootcut jeans in a dark denim are enormously flattering. The darker denim also looks a bit smarter.
Scoop or v-neck tshirts and jumpers are good.
A couple of knee length a-line skirts go with everything. In autumn/winter you can team them with opaque tights and knee high boots and in the spring/summer with some wedge sandals.
the waist belt is your Best Friend!
For smart / going out some nice bootleg trousers and a glam top is relaxed and smart.
A decent fitted blazer and coat are worth the money.
I'd always recommend investing in one nice dress
this is good with the scoop neck and a-line skirt.
Once you've got the shapes right, you can experiment with different colours and accessories. You could use drapey necklaces and ethnic earrings to create the boho look you like, for example.
Whatever you buy, particularly as you're doing a lot of purchasing at once(!), try and bear in mind how your wardrobe will go together. The more items of clothing a new purchase can go with, the more wear it will get.

enjoy your shopping trips

Disenchanted3 · 14/02/2009 15:29

Well done!!

Im 24 with 3 under 5 years and 13 stone now!

I need to start loosing weight

chainstitch · 14/02/2009 15:32

when you are thinner, you can usually try on, and look good in almost anything, and can try stuff from diferent shops. when i lost my weight, two stones, i started shopping in asos, and most things looked amazing on me.

course then i had to gain someweight, and the effect was gone

YeahBut · 14/02/2009 16:15

LOL, no I'm not Gok, unless he's suddenly morphed into a mum of 3!

WowOoo · 14/02/2009 16:19

No fashion advice but good on ya. Enjoy shopping!

JumpingDizzy · 15/02/2009 20:07

how does the sizing on 7 fam jeans work?

Zebraa · 15/02/2009 20:19

take some time to get measured for bra. Find some great jeans.

Also, as you've lost so much weight, you're probably feeling pretty fabulous (and so you should) but when choosing clothes, if the 12 fits better but you can fit into the 10, buy the 12 - nobody will know what size it is and it's the key to looking amazing.

Spend a day shopping and try things on. You'll need a couple of pairs of really well fitting jeans and jeans shopping is horrible as we know.

Well done on your weight loss and happy shopping x
