here but do you think i should get it? im 31 and very petite with pale skin and auburn bobbed hair. would wear it with thick woolly tights, low boots and a grey cotton polo neck underneath. don't want to look like mutton. but thinking it would be pretty cool for uni

Like the shape.

But the design looks liek the Clothkits stuff I wore as a kid in the 70s.

BonsoirAnna · 10/02/2009 16:55

NO NO NO don't it's so unsexy. Be sexy while you can - women are their sexiest at 32 you know.

sassy · 10/02/2009 17:02

So I am no longer sexy, Anna? Boo hoo

lilQuidditchKel · 10/02/2009 17:04

Hmmm
I'm sure you can find something better for £25.
You're a student? Full time?

dragonbutter · 10/02/2009 17:04

it's cute.
i'm 31 and pale skinned, short but not petite.
i'd wear it.
especially for uni.

georgimama · 10/02/2009 17:06

With your figure I'd wear it. I don't know what Anna would define as sexy. Anne Summers? Patent leather thigh highs?

It's cute.

I prefer the blue though. And don't put anything under it.

rolledhedgehog · 10/02/2009 17:07

Have you seen it in real life? I was looking at them last week and although its nice you would have to be shortish to wear it as a dress imo - as it is quite short. I would have thought unless very young it is more of one for over leggings personally...but then I have 35 and don't have the legs to carry off short dresses!

alicecrail · 10/02/2009 17:08

I love it! And sassy did you know clothkits are back!

mileniwmffalcon · 10/02/2009 17:10

yes, but with leggings not tights

sassy · 10/02/2009 17:11

Yes, I did alice. But even back in the 70s, the adult designs were less daring than that! That's why I compared it to a child's dress (remembers my dungarees printed with red indians and totem poles)

alicecrail · 10/02/2009 17:25

I wasn't born until the 80's so perhaps i like them because never had to wear them as a kid!

Lizzylou · 10/02/2009 17:26

I love that and I'd wear it (am older than you and ceratinly not petite).

Flightattendant12 · 10/02/2009 17:31

oh! I got it yesterday!!! It's lovely. It comes up really really small though, I'm a 10 and the M/L was actually a close fit, but still comfy.

It's quite rough feeling material, soft but not smooth. it's mid thigh on me and I';m 5'7, well upper mid thigh - could get away with it though with woolly tights and I'm 35

Go for it. I took mine back as am poor atm and the colours were brighter than that picture - the yellow clashed a bit, I am fussy though I got it thinking they were £10 off in the shop but turns out they are still 25, I tried it on at home but decided it was a bit young for me and am poor atm so took it back.

HTH

Flightattendant12 · 10/02/2009 17:32

You wouldn't easily fit jeans under it btw. Too figure hugging

muffle · 10/02/2009 17:33

I love it and it should look great on you I think.

I have found that buying and wearing things that I just love and feel are "me", is a much better bet than trying to achieve a particular look, IYSWIM. I agree it doesn't scream "sexy" but why should you want that anyway? It's quirky and cool, not sexy...

Flightattendant12 · 10/02/2009 17:36

It's not brown btw, it's purple.

Tillyscoutsmum · 10/02/2009 17:37

I've got the black and white one which is similar shape etc.. this one I'm 34 and not petite at all

OracleInaCoracle · 10/02/2009 19:06

tbh, i was looking at it today, lil sis pointed it out to me as a "lissie dress" i love the fact that its so quirky and not obviously sexy. im just under 5'2" with quite long legs, so will be nice length on me.

OracleInaCoracle · 10/02/2009 19:08

tillyscout, thats lovely! what do you wear it with?

OP posts:
Tillyscoutsmum · 10/02/2009 19:40

thanks... black leggings or thick tights and a black polo underneath. Wear with shoe boots at the moment but think it'll look better with ballet flats when the weather warms up a bit

bangandthedirtisgone · 10/02/2009 19:43

Mutton-tastic I'm afraid.

OracleInaCoracle · 11/02/2009 19:11

do you think bang? even with uber-thick tights and flat boots?

OP posts:
muffle · 11/02/2009 19:45

Don't listen! Not muttony at all. You're 31 not 65!

Sunflower100 · 11/02/2009 20:23

Its cute. Go for it!

Breizhette · 11/02/2009 20:47

I would wear it.
