Wedding dress help please

bratnav · 10/02/2009 12:22

I need a dress/outfit to wear for my wedding.

We are going quirky, and we are having a very small wedding. DDs will be bridesmaids wearing party/princess/fairy dresses.

I have an idea in my head of a purple dress, long sleeves, vaguely medeivil (sp sorry) sort of thing.

Budget is quite small, definitely less than £100.

Anyone want to help?

Just to gauge your reaction ...
Something like this?

TigersEnglandChick · 10/02/2009 12:37

That's actually from an ebay shop - based in Blackpool - so if you click on the link you can see loads of others that they do .... Of course - it could be miles wide of the mark too

maybe like this?

I like the shape of the one you linked to. Not knowing your colouring it's hard to say - I prefer the green over the purple but that's just me.

Have a look on that ebay shop - they've got loads along those lines.

Congratulations btw

Thanks, I think green would be better on me really, I have mid brown hair, greeny brown eyes and quite fair skin, purple might be a little harsh.

How about something like this?

(someone mentioned styleshake on MN recently and it's vaguely addictive -- worth trying to play around yourself and see what you can come up with)

bratnav · 10/02/2009 13:19

right general shape, but not keen on the sleeves.

Green with different sleeves

Go on... have a play yourself...

I can't work out how to do full length skirts, am I dense?

It depends on the kind of upper body you choose. If you go for empire line and no waist panel you can only add short skirts. If you go for empire line plus waist panel, or a waist-length bodice, then you get a wider range of skirt options.

I only worked that out recently myself...
