Hello

my beautiful BF is getting married. if you don't do the full "lovely bride" dress thing, where do you go? I've just browsed Coast and Monsoon, they have a big thing for strapless. My BF has a lovely slim waist and big gorgeous bum, but is rather flat of bosom so not great for her (plus she was playing the organ for a wedding where the bride was in a strapless dress and it fell right down - nork-tastic). She is slim with lovely arms, neck, very beautiful english rose look. Doesn't like showing off her legs though, so would need to be long.

what would you fashionistas recommend for such a lovely woman?

we're both a bit hopeless with shopping/looks but since we discovered T&S, we've improved. but it would be great to help her to find something fabulous... :-)

I was a rather older first-time bride and decided against white. I did want a special long frock though and got one here. The service and quality was great. I did have to pay import tax because they're American, but the original price was low because I had bought a sample (see below).

hello

probably not very expensive - £300-£500? so Browns off the limit no doubt. Probably also something classic and simple rather than too much on-trend. She has a lovely slim waist so would want to make the best of that, so maybe the copellia dress covers it a bit...

what other details do you need to know?

even some tips on decent shops worth looking at (esp. boutiques with cheaper designer / new designer labels) would be a help

thanks for bumping...

if she has a style that she likes then there are alot of places in china that will make her the dress for a fraction of the cost..she need only send a photograph and a description of any extras she wants

GossipMonger · 08/02/2009 16:37

does she want to wear it again or happy to have a non weddingy dress

What is her colouring?

does she have a favourite colour?
