Tank top

JanuarySnail · 06/02/2009 16:14

Can anyone tell me where can I buy a nice, plain wool tank top? (as in sleeveless v-neck jumper, not a vest)

(Online preferably as I am terribly lazy)

Thanks...

I can't spend my own money but am happy to help someone else spend theirs

there's this one half price at oxfam that i've been umming and ahhing about for ages. it's indigo blue, not black like it looks in the pic, they have a browny-reddy one too and a rather vile mustard one if that's your kind of thing. my worry was that it might be rather chunky and i'm not sure chunky knit is such a good thing in a tank top. i think i've come to the conclusion that actually i'm not a tank top kinda girl and prolly wouldn't wear it anyway.

Some lovely ones here - White stuff

TheThoughtPolice · 06/02/2009 16:21

Comes in Black, Stone or Navy

DumbledoresGirl · 06/02/2009 16:21

Oh dear, I think they are all vile. Is this really fashion?

JanuarySnail · 06/02/2009 16:21

I'd never heard of Joules but like the look of it - where else do you shop (by proxy?!)?

I didn't know Oxfam sold clothes online. You learn something new everyday...

JanuarySnail · 06/02/2009 16:24

DumbledoresGirl - if I'm interested in buying one, then certainly not fashion

i don't think it is fashion any more, they must be on their way out again by now...

doggiesayswoof · 06/02/2009 16:25

Oh I like the ASOS one

doggiesayswoof · 06/02/2009 16:26

chaps, this is style and beauty, not fashion (I wouldn't know fashion if it jumped up and bit me, but I know what I like)

SpandexIsMyEnemy · 06/02/2009 16:26

i've got one on at the mo, I have 2 and love them both only for the office thou with a smart shirt, and trousers.

Heated · 06/02/2009 16:27

I STILL like them

janeite · 06/02/2009 16:36

I got a really lovely black one from Coast a while ago. A good fitted shape and very slight textured detail on one shoulder to lift it a bit away from what otherwise can look a bit "policeman's vest-ish" if that makes sense!

They are deffo not fashion anymore but they are a godsend for helping ladies with nork issues look professional in a shirt!

Flutterbye · 06/02/2009 17:17

not online but they've a load in Primark, I got 2 diff ones last weekend. One thin plain wool type in teal and one chunky cotton one in mustard yellow. Both look fab, I'm autumn colours and they were bargaintastic. Fab for layering. Chunky knit/cable knit are fab if you're smaller up top (like a pear shape) to draw attention up and add bulk, don't know if you're bigger up top though.

mileniwmffalcon - have thrown caution to the wind and bought the Oxfam one... will report back when it arrives...
