I didn't want to put the heating on as there's just me in the house, so as well as tights under my jeans and cloggy felt slippers I have folded a rug, wrapped it around my lower half, and belted it.

I'm channelling old man Steptoe - it's just so A/W'09!

What happens if the doorbell goes?

Piccie please.

southeastastra · 05/02/2009 15:42

you nut - though you sound like a warm nut

scampadoodle · 05/02/2009 15:46

The postman did knock but he scarpered pretty quickly... (wonder why? )

And yes, it is keeping me warm! At least I've resisted the fingerless gloves.

pagwatch · 05/02/2009 16:11

that paints quite a picture

MmeLindt · 05/02/2009 16:12

I am not sure that I can visualise that stunning look without a photo. Pop one on your profile and I will roll about the floor laughing give you some style advice.

Actually i did think about tucking a hot water bottle under the belt
I will do a pic tomorrow if you're still interested (sorry - I thought this thread had died!)
I have been dressing quite appallingly this week as I hate being cold.

Right, am off to bed, wearing fleecy PJ bottoms, vest & extremely non-matching long sleeve top & thick socks.

I have my sons ski socks on, a shamag scarve and a fleecy blanket wrapped around my middle, and a pair of pink birkie sandals to go with the socks .

Shitemum · 05/02/2009 23:21

scampadoddle - we've been doing that in Scotland for years. It's called a kilt.

GrimmaTheNome · 05/02/2009 23:38

But do you wear tights and jeans under your kilts?

My secret to staying warm is a nice fur wrap over my knees. Don't call PETA, its still got a dog inside it
