do you do it? is it painful? does it work? i'm looking for an alternative to creams but worry about ingrown hairs.

Yes it works. Exfoliate well to stop ingrown hairs.

Yes, I've got a wax pot and regularly do my legs. Hurts most round the ankles, and it's very difficult doing your own underarms. Bikini is quite difficult if you like to lop the lot off. Make sure you trim down there first.
You can buy microwave wax by the way if you don't have a pot.

i can do my underarms and brazillian at home, but legs are too much hassle. I like the Veet microwavable wax, i also buy a metre of cotton from the fabric shop and cut it up for the waxing strips, it's much much cheaper than the ones in the shops.

thanks all, want it for bikini line and legs. too scared for underarms! will stick to shaving there methinks.

i'll try the veet wax.
