Where to get the nicest maternity clothes?

This is my second pregnancy and I'm busting out of everything at 12 weeks lol... last time I looked like I dressed in a sack for the whole nine months so I'd really like some maternity clothes to make me feel pretty! I'm only 18 so nothing too smart and 30-somethingy ... I'm clueless, help!

hi im 24 and i loved the clothed in mothercare people comented that they didnt look like maternity. u can get jeans and trendy tops and stuff i also found that dorothy perkins had some nice things 2.

Topshop do nice maternity things

topshop stuff is nice, though it's all a bit wintery at the moment. some nice gypsy skirts. hennes is cheap & cheerful, good bright colours. i'm not too k een on dorothy perkins personally, but they have the basics. oh god, just realised i'm almost 30....

Lol thanks, I might fish around online and see what I can see... .... nothing wrong with being 30 - I just don't want to look like I am yet!

I'm way past 30 but keep forgetting I definitely am not going to be wearing any of this "show your bump" midriff tops!

I made a special trip to topshop in oxford street to look at maternity wear and it was all crap! and overpriced too!

I LOVED my dorothy perkins jeans and a skirt I got from Next.
Hennes is nice I think, and cheaper than places like mothercare andoesn't happen overnight. Damd next...

However... I think if I did it again I would buy second hand, as I now have a ton of stuff that I am practically giving away!

I don't think dorothy perkins do maternity any more. Well, they certainly don't do it in our branch, don't know about bigger ones.

What's annoying is I have £40 in vouchers for Next - went to the shop and they had like 1/10 of their maternity stock there, the online stuff is really nice ...

Our Dorothy Perkins still has mat stuff - not a great lot though.

Fastasleep, I got a lovely butterfly top with 3/4 sleeves and a great poncho from the mat range in Next - jsut got jeans to sort out now as my normal ones are getting tight. You can try your order on in store if delivered there (saves paying postage too) and do returns immediatly at the counter, so dead easy

I like the poncho top lots, I guess I'll get the shop to order it or whatever lol... not so in love with any of the trousers/skirts though, I really want elasticated waists rather than the silly stretchy...thing..so that I can wear them for ages afterwards, looks like funmums is going to be the winner at the moment

funmums looks great. I love the baby pink linen trousers and top. I will also be grabbing dh when he gets home (well his wallet anyway). Thanks for the link!! Fastasleep, I bought some normal gypsy skirts but they've got elasticated waists anyway. We're quite lucky they're in fashion at the moment because they'll be great for our pregnant bellies and can be worn afterwards. They're really comfy as well.

H&M are the best I think. How tall are you? topshop stuff looks really good and I wanted a pair of their jeans, but for some reason they did them in 30", 32" and 36" - no 34" which is what I need! So I got two pairs from H&M maternity and they have been fab. And so have all the tops I bought. To be honest, H&M do some really good long stretchy tops for about a fiver that aren't even maternity which I'm wearing, and I'm 36.5 wks pg at the moment!

The jeans in Blooming Marvellous are amazing, i am 35wks and still happy in them. They're REAL DENIM and look like ordinary jeans, they even come in short, regular and long length which is always a bonus!

H&M is another good idea, the one near here is quite good .... I'm currently trying to think up some wedding or other that we can be invited to so that I can have an excuse for buying some 'occasion wear' from funmums!
