My aunt used to wear those bras. I thought her breast were that shape underneath ha! ha! I just wear smooth bras.

TheWizardofOz · 23/01/2009 11:17

I was given one of those when i was pg.
I thought " I am 28 and my bra is called Doreen"

RachePache · 23/01/2009 12:04

I rather like those Doreen bras - they're ugly as sin, but I'm tempted to try one for the silhouette.

mileniwmffalcon · 23/01/2009 12:18

la magia does an excellent line in retro undies at the sexy-not-frumpy end of the spectrum and vicki who runs it is lovely, highly recommended

TheWizardofOz · 23/01/2009 13:21

Those are pretty if you are into that kind of thing.

There is a skirt in French connection atm - called the Wet skirt (sorry can't work out how to copy the web address over!) - it is very Madmen.

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 23/01/2009 14:19

I was so born in the wrong decade. I LOVE the late 50's/early 60's styles. I have been shopping today and have found stacks of this style in H&M (beautiful, lined dresses that do not look H&M at all), and Zara.

Full skirts or pencil skirts, fine knits, matchy accessories and great shoes (not necessarily high, high heels for day time). It will feel full on if you are used to jeans and t-shirts. However, mix it up - dont wear it every day - and you will feel fabulous

Madmen? One which channel is it on?I think I've seen, one episode somewhere is it on Sky or something as I've missed the series

Sounds like a hit

starbear · 01/02/2009 10:11

christiana Try and beg, borrow or steal Saturday's The Times magazine. On page 31 there is an article on Mad Men and the various people in the ad business modelling the clothes you wanted. You will need a magnifying glass to see the details of shops and prices but I thought you would love it! I'm going to start a thread so you can find it.

www.whatkatiedid.com/

is a fabulous website with an online shop and a really good forum. Love the corsets and the bullet bras from here. Loads of photos, and inspiration.

starbear · 02/02/2009 21:38

Sorry never got around to it and now you've found it enjoy!
