What would you wear for a Christening?

I am thinking a dress with a smart coat and tights and fancy some patent high heels.....need some help, my dress is black and I would really like a coloured smart coat, red maybe? and some red patent shoes..any ideas anyone?

if red coat wear balck shoes, but really I would suggest a more muted colour coat - teal? ppurple?

and most churches are heated these days so you may not need quite such a smart coat
