maybe justine is right

most of those are just stubble

i like the groomed beard too, not a flowing zz top/dumbledore style

BarcodeZebra · 21/01/2009 21:14

Is it because the women are string-thin clones? Wake me up when they hire someone attractive.

foxinsocks · 21/01/2009 21:15

lol at justine

maybe it is dh. His never really gets soft (has v thick hair though maybe this is why).

lolol at you and your proper beards.

Guadalupe · 21/01/2009 21:16

I just don't like beards. I try not to mind them but I can't get past The Twits in my mind. Even a short beard has the potential for some minging clinging thing.

foxinsocks · 21/01/2009 21:18

makes me think of Bill Oddie and the Goodies

Boco · 21/01/2009 21:21

Ah you've all got to up date your beard imagery! How can a nice groomed sexy beard be like the Twits? That's crazy talk. Bill Oddie had a dad beard, they're different, they're stringy and a bit unkempt. Dad beards are not nice.

lou33 · 21/01/2009 21:22

boco stoppit, it leaves more beardy men for us if they dont like them!

foxinsocks · 21/01/2009 21:22

I think you like dad beards secretly. All this talk of glossy beards, I don't believe it.

Guadalupe · 21/01/2009 21:33

lol at the modern beard. Short does not mean clean, though it may be cleaner than long.

I like stubble. Nothing clings to stubble. It's all straight like a slide.

Boco · 21/01/2009 22:19

Well the ideal of the modern beard would be slightly longer than stubble, but stop before the curl sets in. It's a fine line, not easy to maintain, but well worth it.

Guadalupe · 21/01/2009 22:23

That would be nigh on impossible to maintain. He could wake up to find you poised with a magnifying glass and scissors waiting for the moment of curvature.

You could invent a curve alarm of course, keep him on the straight and narrow, not go off on a tangent. Oh no.

God I need to go to bed.

lou33 · 21/01/2009 22:33

wouldnt a beard trimmer keep it at the right length easily enough?

Boco · 21/01/2009 22:34

Yes, quite.

Or just regular clippers in fact. Luckily the Modern Beard is very easy to maintain, with no need for beard alarms.

lou33 · 21/01/2009 22:38

the modern beard sounds like some kind of update on lavender marriages
