a wedding in Bali in May? Temp will be somewhere between 25 and 32OC.

I need dress and shoe ideas - I think the actual ceremony is on the beach so will be hard to walk in stilettos. But I don't think I could bring myself to wear flip-flops to a wedding!

I'm 25 btw - what the hell should DP wear too? Linen?

Right....as a shorty (I'm one too!) you need to wear block colour rather than something that will break you up, as this gives the illusion of height. If you're a slim size 10 with gernerous hips and big boos, I asume that you have a lovely hourglass figure. If this is the case then you want something that emphasises your waist and is a-line over your hips and thighs. This will make the most of your small waist and hide your larger bits. Depending on your colouring, you could go for jewel colours as they would look fab in the bright sun. Shoes, I'm not really sure, but you could try a wedge heel on the beach as this won't sink into the sand like a stiletto would. It will give you the height you need as a shorty. As it is a beach ceremony I expect that it won't be too fomral....in which case your fella would probably get away with a white linen shirt with smart linen trousers. Just make sure he stands up until after the ceremony as linen is a bugger for creasing. How's that for ya?

That dress is beautiful but you're right about the boobs! I too have big boobs and think that a neckline like that would be better suited to someone less generous lady bumps. Otherwise it is probably a good shape. Be careful about fullness round the hips is they are very generous, if they are merely curvy rather than large then that shape should be ok. Most places start to get their summer stuff in around now or maybe into Feb, so it's a good time to start looking. With fair skin you prbably don't want to go too bright with the colour as it could wash you out a bit. Your best bet is to try some colours next to your skin....you'll be able to see what will work and what won't. Have you looks at Coast? They do lots of occasion dresses, most of which are the right shape for you. If you want ideas to give to your friend, take someone you trust to go out to the shops with you to try some different shapes. that way you can take the best neckline, length, skirt shape etc and put it together in one super dress which your friend can sort out for you!
