I like the red one.

twinsetandpearls · 17/01/2009 17:29

this is in the sale

Not sure if it is too evening, I am permanently overdressed for everything.

twinsetandpearls · 17/01/2009 17:30

another red option, again is it to evening and is it long enough?

twinsetandpearls · 17/01/2009 17:31

I am not sure of this one, but seems similar to some of the others you posted

mazzystartled · 17/01/2009 17:31

i think the red one needs an hourglass figure, without a hint of extra tum or thigh, if there is any suggestion of pearshapedness it will look megamumsy. also i tend to think that it is too much blocky colour, given its length and your height.

how old are you by the way?

the first one is quite versatile in terms of coverups - cardi/wrap/whatever

also love the purplish one twinset has suggested, the layering/textures break it up a bit

Love the shape of the first one but think the pattern is... clumsy for want of a better word. Like the colour of the second but HATE the overall look of it. 3rd one okay but more evening do than wedding?

I like drink more teas option!

lizziemun · 17/01/2009 19:12

I like the red one.

BTW we changed into jeans and tshirts, but it was our wedding and neither are dress or suit people. We just waited until my grandparents went home .

beanieb · 17/01/2009 19:13

first one, but I do like the red one!

KristinaM · 17/01/2009 19:19

red is lovely but you need to be skinny as a rake or it will look mumsy

how old are you? i think they are a bit.....well..middel aged ( sorry if thsi offends)

twinsetandpearls · 17/01/2009 19:23

I agree Kristina but I tried to find younger clothes for tall women and they are not there. How tall are you?

samsonara · 17/01/2009 19:24

I like the first one, having the floral pattern on black and the bow makes it more upto date and the one that moretea linked and twinsets's lilac ones are also classic colours for a spring wedding.

KristinaM · 17/01/2009 20:57

i am mrs average height and size. but also find it hard to get non frumpy clothes due to large norks! dresses look very...matronly

SaltireOShanter · 22/01/2009 16:28

I have ordered the first one I linked to and the lilac one twinset linked to, however, the invitation and hotel info card etc included in teh invite are all in lilac so I have a funny feeling that might be the bridesmaid colours

I love the shape of all of them but not the colour of the middle one. The first one I think.

I didn't know you were long and tall saltire. I had you pegged as tiny and petite. Don't know why.

DonutMum · 22/01/2009 16:39

Saltire, I've been to loads of weddings in England and only seen that happen once - the rest of the time, it was day to evening finery all the way, just like at home in Scotland.

SaltireOShanter · 22/01/2009 16:48

Donutmum- the groom is a Scot, and there will be loads of fellow scots there as guests! We'll show them how to have a good time

I liked your third one, though not sure re your shape for the dress.

I quite like drink more tea's dress as well.

I really love twinset's second dress but it depends upon what type of wedding really.

Mammina · 22/01/2009 17:04

first one, & you could wear a little cardi with it if it's cold
