wear a grey V neck jumper again (school uniform).

I have just bought one in the sales and I think it looks good

Anyone else gone back on their word in a similar way?

Well, I will never ever wear a brown v-neck jumper again. Ever.

LynetteScavo · 17/01/2009 09:08

Or a brown A-line skirt. {grin]

compo · 17/01/2009 09:09

I will never wear a bottle green a line skirt with matching bottle green v neck sweater
I also will never again wear a piniafore or a tie

compo · 17/01/2009 09:09

or shoes with laces!

Othersideofthechannel · 17/01/2009 09:31

Oh dear, I bought lace up black shoes a couple of years back.

But laces were not compulsory at my school. Trainers were forbidden.

Could you wear those colour skirts but not A-line?

I Will never wear a bottle green tunic dress with knee high brown scratchy socks.

However I do quite like a cream blouse like the ones we had to wear under our tunics

I know where you are coming form Riven. My dad used to wear his 70's faires in the 80's

Isaidno · 17/01/2009 09:57

lynette - my school uniform was also brown - has givem a lifelong hatred of the colour

Othersideofthechannel · 17/01/2009 09:58

My Dad used to wear his flares and wide collared 'sports shirts' in the 80s around the house for messy jobs.

Once he popped out to collect me from sport and realised he needed to fill up the car at a petrol station where a couple of kids from school had saturday jobs.

I tried to melt into the seat

I can't wear navy clothing.

was my uniform in secondary school, plus my uniform colour in tesco where I worked for a while.

oh, nor a certain shade of green either.....also a uniform colour in infants.

I can however wear black quite happily regardless of that being my uniform in middle school......but I think black is so popular anyway no-one can match it to uniform surely??

TheRealMrsJohnSimm · 17/01/2009 16:06

Always swore I would never wear flares.......but I do now . Also laughed hysterically when leggings first came back into fashion (having worn them constantly during my teens in the 80's) but am now the proud owner and wearer of several pairs!

I will never wear a bottle green PE skirt. Unless asked nicely

NotADragonOfSoup · 18/01/2009 09:20

By, say, Brad Pitt.

starbear · 18/01/2009 10:16

I always look good in V-necks so yes light pink shirt under grey V-neck fab. I have worn a Navy blue PE skirt but that's another story....

psychomum5 · 18/01/2009 10:19

not even brad pitt could get me into PE skirts again!!

altho he could get me out of the hidious PE knickers!!!

starbear · 18/01/2009 10:25

Oh! I've had some of my greatest moments in PE Knickers. Oh! I think my DH is in for a treat tonight!!!

moondog · 18/01/2009 10:35

I will never ever again wear a full length Harris tweed cloak with hood and endure sniggers, nay guffaws of locals as I go into Woolworths to get the latest The Police single.

Actually....a full length tweed cloak might look pretty cool now in a Toast catalgue sort of way.

psychomum5 · 18/01/2009 10:37

well, Dr who looks kind of dashing in a full length cloak, so maybe moondog

psychomum5 · 18/01/2009 10:38

starbear, I now have some interesting images in my head....

VampiresWalkin · 18/01/2009 10:40

I think leggings (and shell suits) are the only things I swore never to wear again.

I stand firm on the shell suits.

starbear · 18/01/2009 10:45

psychomum5 try it. You don't have to tell your DH that your thinking of the lads from 'Superstars' in their short shorts. Remember Daley Thompson emmm!

starbear · 18/01/2009 10:46

I've got to go now to do some work. V-nect and crisp shirt will work wonders
