Im being bridesmaid in a few months for my sis. She has bought us a pale coloured satin which is quite heavy.

I am now a size 16 with big hips and bum after having dd. I tried on a satin dress the other day in a basic style and it looked awful. It showed every lump and bump.

What can I do. She has suggested putting chiffon over the top and rushing it.

Any ideas...

find out what style flatters your shape the most a la susannah & trinny - I have no idea as I'm the opposite shape!

think structure
50's style with waist, pencillish skirt and picture[?] collar - one of those folded back things anyway. have a look on the coast website for some ideas. industrial underpants. nothing bias-cut.

Good underwear will help

RumMum · 16/01/2009 21:26

I was going to suggest some magic underwear that holds you in and gives you a smooth line...

I am going to have Spanx and hopefully will have a bit of weight by then but my shape has changed completly since having dd.

We are having jackets from the same fabric.

Your welcome, if you do get it, get it before choosing the design as the straps are quite wide.
