Help me find some shoes, ones with coloured undersoles

Basically I want some shoes with coloured undersoles, so when I walk you see the flash of colour.

Prefereably green underneath.

anyone know where I can get some?

I've got some Boden sale ones with bright red undersoles. I don't think anyone would be fooled into thinking they're Louboutins but you never know..

Don't know if they're doing them again this season, catalogue just arrived but not looked through it yet.

hmmm- I want them for a wedding, my wedding, and rally I need green underneath.

will keep trawling the net. They also have to be a bit cheap

These are hideous but at least proves there must be some out there, somewhere.......

I wonder if you could get anything you could buy and stick on the soles to make them green.
Might be a lot easier than looking for a pair with green soles - they might have the right colour underneath but be rank iyswim..

kettlechip · 16/01/2009 14:08

you need the green version of these!!

maybe email them and see if it's possible..

I know! Just go into your local Timpsons/cobblers, I bet they do soles in loads of colours and can put them on for a few quid.

I think I need to go back to work, am enjoying this challenge a little too much..

beanieb · 16/01/2009 14:12

good idea Kettlechip, maybe there's some kind of hardwearing paint I could use?

If it's just for the day, maybe even bog standard satin paint would work.. maybe get a tester and try it out with a pair of old shoes. You could even get the exact shade mixed for you - (getting properly carried away now)

Please post a pic of the results!

I'm having a small wedding and a non weddingy dress. We're getting married in a register office. Infact, I absolutely dread the whole day as I hate being looked at. However, I do like shoes and I think, kind of as a present to myself, I want to wear a funky pair of shoes that are a bit different to the normal bog standard wedding shoe.

I think people will notice though, not sure why they wouldn't as they will all be behind me as I am standing doing my vows.

You can't tell on here, but in the catalogue it shows these brown ones as having green soles! Not quite the weddingy look you were after though maybe?

Giving up on this now, tedious housework calls. I think I'd just buy a pair of shoes you love, and get a cobbler to resole them. I'm thinking the paint idea might be a no no for your wedding, could go horribly wrong!!

beanieb · 16/01/2009 15:54

lol - might be good for my low-key wedding

I always notice when I see the red ones flash by.

And I always notice when people leave the price on their soles (which apparently my mum did when she got married...)

So I think people will notice your green soles!

beanieb · 16/01/2009 16:13

Oh I really get annoyed by people leaving the pricestickers on

I read somewhere that CL red soles can be touched up with some red nail polish. Maybe you could use green nail polish on the soles of your wedding shoes? Or some sort of green hard-wearing glossy paint. Do you have an old pair of shoes to experiment with? It will wear off though - the red soles on CL shoes get scratched straight away. Try and keep off hard surfaces until afterwards.
