toast clothing

I have been thinking of buying some things from the toast sales but do not know what their sizes are like. Do they tend to be big or small made?

Big, IME.

I would say the sizes are generous. I have managed to fit into my more optimistic estimation.
I love Toast, I know I shouldn't but I do.

Lots of things. Quite like the lissa dress and cashmere wrap cardigan - but very expensive, even with 30% off. Could buy lots of things but especially like their tops and kitwear. I am addicted to on-line shopping!

Toast seem to have a lot of the sleeveless shetland slip over jumpers left - I've got one and it is really nice, well worth £18. Brora sale now on too - but there will be some more reductions from them before it is over. Nice things still left at Howies - I've just received my prarie cord dungaree skirt and it is really lovely,beautifully made.

Oh, and I like boden too, although I think I will get slated for admitting this after reading some of the anti-boden comments on other threads recently.

Higgle, have never bought anything from brora. What are they like? Had a quick look at their web site and quite fancy some of the wrist warmers and hats. They have a lovely range of colours. Are they worth the money?

Toast clothes are generously cut ime but still accurate sizing (ie I can have fat days in my usual size and still feel comfy wearing ).

I think whilst the catalogues have some rather "wistful" and marginally naff and implausible images (because you are going to wander around a dusty, muddy farmyard in dry clean only clothes aren't you?? ) I do think their clothes are beautifully made and worth the money.

Oh and I will stand shoulder to shoulder with brainmush and fess up to liking the non-sassy/hotchpotch items from Boden too.

Brainmush - I can only afford Brora in the sales, I have a wonderful 6 ply cardi that is still current in shape ( new colours) that I got for £100 down from £295 in the last summer sale, it is really nice, I've got a tweed pinafore dress, thermal twin set and a linen skirt, all sales bargains and very nice. I'm sure the wrist warmers and hats will be lovely ( I did get some adult gloves with strings on like childrens for someone for Christmas and they were very well received) The clothes will probably be marked down again, but the gloves and socks sell out quite quickly.
