my current ones are practically disintegrating, and my MIL gave me some horrid ones for xmas (am not going to wear them as they look like they are meant for a 70-year old...not sure what she was thinking!)
so soon I will be slipperless
in a house without many carpets that's not a good scenario....

I have these which although they look a bit frumpy on the site, are actually sartorially acceptable . I also like these ones too here

MadamAnt · 15/01/2009 14:00

I have these (Marylin Fur Bootie in Cream) and they are insanely snuggly and gorgeous.

CatIsSleepy · 15/01/2009 14:01

ta MrsJS...they look nice...maybe a bit pricey though...
would probably last longer than my last pair though!

Watching with interest. I am, under sufferance, wearing some hideous cartoon type slippers (complete with sound effects ) at the momnent. Mother - if you are reading this I'm sorry! They are warm but that's about it.

CatIsSleepy · 15/01/2009 14:02

woah madamant those are some slippers!

CatIsSleepy · 15/01/2009 14:04

Mrs SB-your slippers have sound effects?

OP posts:
MrsSeanBean · 15/01/2009 14:06

Yes Cat. I am afraid they do. They roar.

CatIsSleepy · 15/01/2009 14:09

blimey and i thought mine were bad

still, being able to make your slippers roar must come in handy sometimes eh? erm...

OP posts:
MrsSeanBean · 15/01/2009 14:12

It relieves the dull mundanity sometimes...

Rindercella · 15/01/2009 14:23

These may not roar, but they are very stylish, comfy and because they are leather, do not leave marks all over tiled floors.

CatIsSleepy · 15/01/2009 14:37

ooh those are pretty rindercella...

I love those furry boots!! I am also in the same slipper quandry. I bought 2 pairs for a tenner from Stead & Simpson before Xmas but pair number 1 have already been banished to the dustbin. Now pair number 2 are on their way out and i need something warmer. I have sent DP the link to the boots and subtly told him that i want them for my birthday next week.

kettlechip · 15/01/2009 14:54

I got some sheepskin ones from Fat Face and they are lovely - warm and cosy without being a bit sweaty iyswim..

I really want some Ugg slippers but think at £90 that would be pushing it..
