going to party tonight, if i can defrost my car!!

wearing my swishy dress has a black bow. not the gold. and wearing silver cardi over it

have black patent cone heels, but not in a high heel mood, can i wear flat dark red patent ballerina flats, with a big bow on the front?

or will i look like i have had a style bypass?

Lulu I am no style icon and know practically nothing about party wear but tbh I think that dress needs heels.

Lulumama · 10/01/2009 15:42

ok, thank you ! it probably does, i am being a lazy mare not wanting to totter about in heels

Disclaimer is that I'm no style goddess but it does look like heels would be best. It's very pretty and I think heels would finish it. Flats would be a bit.... flat.

Unless you're v tall in which case, you may be able to carry it off?

janeite · 10/01/2009 15:44

Do the flats fit into your bag in case your feet hurt later?!

Lulumama · 10/01/2009 15:45

yes they would fit in my bag ! and am definitely not tall ! thank you

DO NOT WEAR HEELS - DO NOT WEAR HEELS - DO NOT WEAR HEELS

RipMacWinkle · 10/01/2009 15:46

Good suggestion janeite!

Well, then as a short arse myself I say - no. Sorry....

Lulumama · 10/01/2009 15:47

oh no cariboo!! why? i was now in high heel mindset!

Heels will look best.

When you said about flat ballets with bow on I immediately thought 'mini mouse'!

themoon66 · 10/01/2009 15:50

Your black patent cone heels sound perfect actually. Can you drive in the flats and carry them in your bag in case your feet start hurting?

Lulumama · 10/01/2009 15:51

ha ha ! i am not remotely mouselike

more hippo and heifer like !

Depends on how good your legs and ankles are tbh. Only the very best calves and astonishingly well turned ankles can get away with flats and a skirt/dress, imo.

LaDiDaDi · 10/01/2009 15:51

Heels will look much better than flats with that dress (which is lovely btw).

Lulumama · 10/01/2009 15:52

actually, NDP,i'll hvae you know i have gorgeous ankles and shapely calves

the rest of me is a whole other story !

so, heels on, flats in the bag and get a grip , basically?

OP posts:
cariboo · 10/01/2009 15:53

Because an above-knee skirt & heels say 'slut' to me. Usually.

cariboo · 10/01/2009 15:55

Also, above a size 10, heels with shortish party dress bring to mind hippos in Fantasia. Sometimes.

janeite · 10/01/2009 15:55

Heels on; flats in bag. Ignore Cariboo who clearly knows even less than the rest of us! Have fun!

NomDePlume · 10/01/2009 15:57

lulu, I wasn't saying you had/have bad legs.

cariboo · 10/01/2009 15:57

Yes, I'm sure you're right! (cod, come back)

Here's my pc answer: whatever you feel best in.

Lulumama · 10/01/2009 15:59

oh i know, NDP

PMSL at hippos in fantasia... the dress is knee length,. and i will be wearing tights

OP posts:
janeite · 10/01/2009 16:03

If Cod came back, she'd tell Lulu to forget the dress altogether and wear white knee length shorts!

cariboo · 10/01/2009 16:04

Too right!

Lulumama · 10/01/2009 16:09

thank you ladies, you have made me larf!
