My lovely new boots don't fit - what can I do.

Have bought some new boots in the Boden sale which are exactly what I am looking for.

I have massive feet so they are a size 42 (the biggest they do). The length is fine but they aren't quite wide enough so feel tight across the top of my foot, especially the one which is a bit bigger than the other.

What can I do? I need to send them back don't I? or can I stretch the leather somehow? Or shall I just take painkillers forever?

these are they

They're lovely, but you'll have to send them back if they don't fit

Somehow I knew you were going to say that

the leather looks quite tough so not sure how easily they'd stretch to be honest - for that price i'd want them to fit personally.

Boden shoes are always very narrow in my experience.

sorry.

I only came on this thread cos I thought it said 'my lovely new boobs don;t fit', however:-
Old fashioned 'proper' cobblers used to be able to stretch leather. Would it be worth having a word before sending them back, you'd probably have to try them on in the cobblers to show the extent they need stretching.
But if not don't hang on to them imagining your feet might narrow as you get older. Back with 'em.
