yoox only have a pair with stitching on which i'm not so keen on (am a size 3) and i know tk maxx sometimes have them but never when i go in.

do i have to send DH to the US (ha ha) or does anyone know of any uk stockists?

Yoox have bronw 4 1/2's reduced to £110

I got the banana yellow from TX Maxx but an out of town branch rather than the one we have in the centre of town. They had the dark brown again over Chrismas time. Mine cost £69.99,

House of Fraser sell them but at £180

Fimbo · 07/01/2009 13:45

Yikes!! £190 here

MrsBadger · 07/01/2009 13:50

if they are for wearing under trousers get Wrangler Spencers

same foot shape, much much cheaper

if they are for wearing with skirts, rethink - that shape does nothing to flatter anyone's legs. Get something with a zip.

Oooo are they fashionable again? I remember they were the in boot a few years ago. I'll dig out my banana yellows.

I ordered some (lovely but sadly worn out chestnut ones) from Boot Barn in the US. www.bootbarn.com

Worked out much cheaper - but then the pound was strong and the dollar weak back then. But watch out for import duty, I paid about £40.

I won't tell you how much my yellows were... Lets just say they were in an end of season Top Shop clearance sale!

they are very yummy mummy atm aren't they?
i have noticed they are a new uniform.

KarlWrenbury · 07/01/2009 14:39

The banana colour is vile.

traceybath · 07/01/2009 15:50

well i like the chocolate ones and want some pull on boots for jeans but not cowboy boots and that will last well.

have got duo boots at the moment and think the quality is rubbish for the price.

may have to stalk my out of town tk maxx and also yoox until i can find some.

thanks for the links and other suggestions though.

am really struggling to find decent casual boots - all are either dead flat or really high.

The Wranger ones (thus) aren't cowboy boots

traceybath · 07/01/2009 16:02

thanks mrs b - just looking at wrangler boots and there's some rather nice ones - bramble and thistle particularly! that could be the answer indeed.

thank you!

yes, the longer thistles look good

Brambles are too high heeled for me - all my trousers would suddelny be too short...

woodenchair · 07/01/2009 17:04

There were some in tk maxx before christmas, I love them too but they don't fit my feet.

good luck

mamalovesmojitos · 07/01/2009 19:46
