At Last! A successful Sales-related shopping trip!!

Every year, I go out to the sales swearing blind that I will only buy "classic" items that will not date/I will not tire of after two wears/ya-da ya-da. And every year I come back having failed with a pile of tat!! But not this year!

Thanks mostly to the invaluable advice I have gleaned from this topic board, I have finally been able to achieve my goal and bought a selection of fab clothes that will see me through this winter and next . I managed a mix of high street faves Zara and Top Shop and splashed out on a couple of things from Toast (I usually just lust over their catalogues). It's all stylish rather than "fashion". Fits me properly (as opposed to the "Oh I'll lose weight before I wear it because its such a bargain" option).

I also heeded some great advice from Gok Wan who says that every item you buy should go with at least 3 other items in your wardrobe. Sound advice indeed Mr Wan

Anyone else want to share their success with us??

A pair of designer jeans ( V expensive but got them half price). Bought as a reward for the 2 and half stone I have lost in 2008 and for the 1 stone I have left.

Very flattering and glam.

Im usually a "NEXT" jeans type of gal and will continue this way for daily use BUT wanted something as a treat and special occasions.

Never thought designer jeans would be worth their money BUT they so are.
My bum looks very much like a peach .
