I literally cannot get my heels in. They are pull on riding boots has anyone else had this problem? They are gorgeous and the actual foot bit is the right size, they will fit if I can just get my foot in its the shape of them!

I had a pair like that once from Jones and ended up sending them back.

Try a long handled shoe-horn (we have an Ikea one)

used2bthin · 06/01/2009 14:02

Ok thanks, haven't got ikea but sure I can get hold of one. Its ridiculous isn't it? I'm trying to work out if the lack ones I bought these to replace were like this to begin with and I think they were. I will hate to take them back as I have been looking at them in oasis window and knowing I couldn't afford £110 but got them at the bargain price of £40. Not worth anything if I can't wear them though! I have got relatively slim legs too. Well they are certainly not big and my ankles are small.

I guess if you could just get your feet in you would know if they would ease off or not. Perhaps there is a problem with them and that is why they were reduced by so much?

clumsymum · 06/01/2009 14:07

Have you wondered why they were reduced by this much? My guess is no one else could get into them either.

stardazzle · 06/01/2009 14:08

put your foot into a plastic bag, it will then slide on, wear them like this indoors for a few days then try without, worked for me! if ti doesn't then you can return them provided you haven't marked the soles

fishie · 06/01/2009 14:10

if it is your instep which won't go in then send them back because you will never get in or out. i have same problem, high arch and need zipped boots to get foot in. pull ons no good.

used2bthin · 06/01/2009 14:13

It is my instep I think, but I have got boots the same shap that gave enough for me to get them on easily in the end. Will try the bags thing thanks. I managed to get the size sevens on inthe shop but the foot bit was then too big so I ordered the six.

what about wearing a stocking see if you can slide in?

used2bthin · 07/01/2009 21:24

Thanks moonincancer that is what I did (well, tights anyway). Managed to get them on and walked about in them for a while. Only problem is that they are tight round my legs so I'm worried I won't be able to get my jeans into them which is the reason I bought them. Hmm yes maybe they WERE reduced for a reason!

yuck, I am feeling claustrophobic just thinking about those boots... are you sure you couldn't swap them for the sevens and put an insole in?

used2bthin · 07/01/2009 21:56

They make me a bit claustrophobic too! The sevens were a lot too long, in fact the sixes are a bit bog in the feet bit. Stupid thing! Still clinging to the hope that they might stretch!
