I spent my gas money on these boots, I want to wear them with everything but will I look foolish?

I have been wearing them constantly, but only under flarey jeans. Would they look ok with
a) a shortish black jersey dress, tights, long grey cardi optional
b) with skinny jeans tucked in (if I can find any that aren't 30cm longer than my legs)
c) other dresses, kind of girly ones with flowers and stuff, all shortish
d) something else? leggings?

(btw, it wasn't gas money that I should have been spending on gas, it was money the gas company owed me because I haven't had the heating on all winter)

I think they would look good with all your suggestions if you are quite leggy ie. have good legs not short stumps.
