Bobbi Brown probably best for natural colours but I think Mac is unbeatable for eyeshadows overall.

BonsoirAnna · 03/01/2009 21:23

Benefit any day. Bobbi Brown and Mac are too serious and boring.

S1ur · 03/01/2009 21:23

I like benfit but it is very creamy - not for everyone. I second mac for eyes though.

barbie1 · 03/01/2009 21:25

mac and bobby brown are the same companies, co owed by estee lauder so very much the same, better quality than benefit though...colours seem to last longer x

backalleysally · 03/01/2009 21:25

Ive never used Mac or Bobbi Brown. I love Benefit though. Love the funky packaging and the products last for ages.

swiftyknickers · 03/01/2009 21:29

bobbi brown shimmer brick is a must have-if youy havent got one go and get one!
benefit is ok
mac rules-their eyeshadows and lipliners are amazing IMO

god i love make up!!

BonsoirAnna · 03/01/2009 21:32

Stila make-up is great.

lizandlulu · 03/01/2009 21:34

i like benefit but think mac is so much better. i have only got a couple of eye shadow palettes from bobbi brown and they seem good but not a patch on mac.

barbie1 · 03/01/2009 22:08

stila is being discountinued again owned by estee lauder, so for all you fans go and buy asap! xx

BonsoirAnna · 04/01/2009 10:38

Estée Lauder divested Stila nearly three years ago and it is now run as an independent business. Its distribution has changed, but it is still around.

harleyd · 04/01/2009 10:40

benefit!

harleyd · 04/01/2009 10:40

(and urban decay eyeshadows too)

MrsSeanBean · 04/01/2009 10:43

bobbi brown definitely - Benefit always seems to disappear in minutes on my skin.

HoorayHenry · 04/01/2009 11:45

mac

Benefit is all packacing over substance.

mosschops30 · 04/01/2009 11:47

I love MAC, huge choice of eyeshadows that just seem to go on forever.
Plus I love their selection of lippy's, matt, lustre etc.

Plus when you finally get some empties you can take them back and get a free lipstick oif your choice

Dunno but can anyone find me a copy of the BB nude makeup campaign from Sep 80 - the one with the dark haired model with impossible cheekbones?

janeite · 04/01/2009 14:23

Yes tourban Decay eyeshadows! Dp bought me a set for Christmas and they are fab BUT deffo not very natural looking colours. My favourites are called Smog, Mildew and Oil Slick, which might give you some idea of the colours!

leoleosuperstar · 04/01/2009 18:37

Urban Decay is excellent - the colours are very 'solid' and look just like what is in the box.

Bobbi Brown is very natural.

I love Mac though tbh. There is a really nice girl on the counter at the Bluewater and have bought the perfect blusher on her recommendation. I also rate their metallic (SP?) eyeshadows as well and their fluidline eyeliner pots. I have bought a Clinque one once but the colour wasn't as strongand long wearing as the Mac product.

Also as someone else said when you have 5 empty pots you take them in and get a free lipstick.

My sister brought me lots of make up back from New York when she went last year.

Spoo · 04/01/2009 18:40

Love MAC foundation. Great range of colours for non conventional skin types.

Just discovered Bobbi Brown and I love it all. I have blotchy skin and am a foundation expert (sadly) and I think Bobbi Brown is one of the best I've tried so far. Also love my new Bobbi Brown lipstick - 'raisin' I think it is.

Benefit is overpriced for what it is and it didn't last at all.

p1umpudding · 06/01/2009 23:37

For natural colours, I'd use bobbi brown, but MAC have a high pigment content, so they'll last longer.
