Ok, I'm 34 and the words "mutton" and "lamb" probably spring to mind but I don't care, Zoe Ball is older than me and gets away with it!!

Just need advice as to what top/killer shoes to wear with them as this will be my staple going out outfir for the next year (so prob only be worn about 6 times)

Advice please ladies...

I love them
I think a mohair sweater would look great in a beatnik way.

minxofmancunia · 03/01/2009 22:46

Hi Thomcat and lovemylaptop and sirious.

No top HAS to cover bum and top of thighs!!

Don't want camles hoof and just not that confident, also skinny doesn't neccessarily equal svelte! Haven't exercised (apart from yoga and swimmingtoday) for last 3 months so bum has drooped a bit.

juila your suggestion is great but I strugle with mohair due to the itsh factor but I could look for something similar.

Does anyone have any websites? can't be bothered with manc city centre/trafford centre at mo. HELLISH

Or this this not this but found it and like it anyway!

Thomcat · 03/01/2009 22:55

i know what I want for you you but can't find it

minxofmancunia · 03/01/2009 23:00

I like both warehouse options Thomcat!

OP posts:
Thomcat · 03/01/2009 23:02

Yeah the Warehouse ones are nice.

Now for shoes........

Thomcat · 03/01/2009 23:04

Depends how high you want to go.
Personally I like my feet undeformed.
Something like these maybe???

Zebraa · 03/01/2009 23:04

You need shift type dresses and really simple dresses nipped in with a waste belt. Nothing too dramtic, keep it really simple up top and let the legs do the walking talking. You're pretty tallish so you can wear them with pretty pumps (fancy ones) or heels.

Google celebs wearing them and see what they've teamed them with for extra advice.

Zebraa · 03/01/2009 23:05

dramatic*

minxofmancunia · 03/01/2009 23:05

I've just had another peek at your profile Thomcat, I've looked before because I thought you seemed so nice, and I'm sure you are!

Your pictures are so lovely! Almost bring a tear to my eye!

forgive me have had x3 glasses of wine

Thomcat · 03/01/2009 23:07

That's nice, thanks Minx

Thomcat · 03/01/2009 23:08

Just had a sneak at your profile too. Think we'd really get on in RL

Started yoga with DD1 a while ago, she has SN's. Think yoga and kids is an amazing combo

minxofmancunia · 03/01/2009 23:08

I like the faith boots! I would only be wearing them ocassionally so can cope with the pain.

thanks for advice Zebraa, have a couple of dress/tunic tops and some lovely wide belts that i've picked up in vintage shops so will have an experiment

So are we looking at killer FM shoes?
Do these float your boat or scare the hell out of you?

minxofmancunia · 03/01/2009 23:11

I've just done my teacher training in kids yoga! am hoping to do yoga for the special child training this year.

I'm sure yoga would be fab for her!

Work with ADHD/ASD children so once I've got more experienec might start a class for them-eek!

OP posts:
Thomcat · 03/01/2009 23:12

Or these ??

minxofmancunia · 03/01/2009 23:13

I've been looking for similar for a while! Just don't have time to browse properly round shops despite being in manc, like bondage type look, obviously top has to downplay it

We went to the Yoga centre in London which is charity run. That was Yoga for the specail child. Amazing. 1-2-1 yoga. Makes me go all lump in the throatish thinking about it.

minxofmancunia · 03/01/2009 23:14

red tooo much! but love black ones

OP posts:
Thomcat · 03/01/2009 23:15

Yeah I think the shoes can be killer FM shoes and the top, sloppy joe casual. Great look, am loving it.

Thomcat · 03/01/2009 23:16

Oh God, yeah not red, just come sup in that colour. HAS to be black. Red far too scary. Wrong message / look altoghether.

minxofmancunia · 03/01/2009 23:16

yes I've read up about that too, looks fabulous, would love to learn more.

yoga and children definitely works, have been doing baby yoga with dd from early days til now, she's always putting herself in downwards dog!

OP posts:
Thomcat · 03/01/2009 23:18

Gutted. Was dying to do yoga with DD3 but did massage instead and then she was too old when I rang up for the baby yoga class.
