14 year old niece - help finding clothes for a wedding

My sister and her family are going to a wedding at the beginning of April. She's started looking for clothes for her daughter to wear, but isn't having much luck. She's looked at the usual shops so far, eg Next, M+S, etc, but I don't know whether it's a bit too early for the stock to be in.

Anyway, my niece will be nearly 14 in April and I think she wants maybe a trouser suit for during the day and a dress for the evening (finding a dress is no problem).

My sister has thought about looking at women's clothes, but doesn't want her daughter to look too grown up.

Does anyone have any ideas where they should look? We're in the north west of England.

Thanks.

smart trousers, nice top and a cardi will be fine for the day, i think a trouser suit will be too much.

How big is she? looking at womens clothes should be fine as long as they dont drown her

what about topshop, h&m, new look, they tend to carry a lot of more formal lines nowadays, especially tops

as you say dress shouldn't be a prblem

She's quite tall for her age and slim. Probably a size 6 or 8 in women's clothes. Had thought about Top Shop and New Look. Forgotten about H&M! Will put all these suggestions to my sister.

Other ideas welcome too.
