I am thinking of buying the staduim squall or the weatherly parka.

Are they as warm and waterproof as they claim? How do the sizes come up?

Thanks

I have one of these. They are warm and waterproof but I look hideous in mine. American sizes, so check their conversion charts or ring the lovely people and they will give you exact measurements or advice.

I have a stadium squall and it is fab. Great length, very warm, windproof and keeps me dry. Best coat I have ever bought (I have it in Cranberry).

I have now ordered this in wine colour chevron down coat as it is in the sale.

Yes MrsS I was a bit worried about that.....I have very large Bf norks so have to get jackets in ...ahem...generous sizes. Am a bit worried I will look like a fat tub in it

still i guess its only for teh school/nursery run. and no yummy mummies where i live so no competition to look good at school gates

I am a big fan of Lands end coats. I like my coats loose and not too restricting and have bought an XL in the squall to wear over jackets etc for work. I bought it in the autum whan they had an earlier sale and its washed and worn well. I would say its a large UK 18 but not too big. I have had loads of comments on it too

I was thinking of buying that coat but it seems to have disappeared

I also have the stadium squall and I totally agree with CaptainPig, it is the very best winter coat I've ever had. I got a Medium petite and I am a largish size 12 normally. It is plenty roomy enough for jumpers underneath and is soooooo cosy. Another thing I was pleased about is that it has good pockets.

I bought this lands end coat about a month ago and although it's really, really warm, it's not waterproof so I wish I'd bought this delancy parka

although one's lovely and warm and one's fairly warm and waterproof, it'd be nice to have them both. maybe next year..

how annoying , the ones in the sale seem to be sold out

that will teach me to buy straight away and not hang around on mumsnet

The sizes are on the big side - if you are between two, choose the smaller.

thanks
