Best red lipstick recommendations please

Am sick of wearing neutral lip coloured lipstick/gloss, fancy a bit of a change, especially when going out.

have pale skin with pink undertones, green eyes and dark hair.. what sort of red is best?

or reddy/brown?

have chanel, YSL, clinique, clarins , benefit and the cheaper brands to choose from, but think i might lash out on something poncetastic

going for a shower, will check back in a bit

I like the Chanel reds as there is a good range. I would just find a good department store and have a wander; Christian Dior and Guerlain are worth a look. Also I am a big fan of MAC; fantastic range of lipsticks. Do you have a Space NK shop near you; Nars is another good brand.

what i'd do is get a range of colours in a cheapy brand and try them all, with different eye makeup and what have you. the shock of putting on a strong colour sometimes means you can't really judge whether it suits you, so just trying in the shop doesn't really cut it (also who actually tries lippy on their lips rather than on their hand?)

then when you have an idea of the shade you like best match that with a posh one if you really feel the need.

thanks, i boguht one. barcelona red. it is quite elegant i think. i usually just wear black eyeliner with wings and black mascara so quite a classic look

if i wear eyeshadow usually a dark shade in the socket and a lighter one on the lid.

it looks nice i think.
