Babyliss you curl - how do I get it to work dammit

I've watched the on-line video over and over and all I seem able to do with mine is add a little body. What could I be doing wrong?!

will watch with interest because I can't make mine work either. In fact I recently used it like a straightener.

yeah - I have used it as a straightener today an it's given my hair a bit of bounce whick is cool. been watching the video on-line but I think I need to train my OH to do it for me!
