As the title says, I am feeling really blue. I thought I had most of the shopping sorted out and I have worked really hard to make sure everyone has what they wanted.
The past few days has been a real pain with royal mail parcels not turning up and emails saying items are out of stock and cannot be delivered at all. It is so frustrating and I am having to resort to Argos for things that are not even what the kids asked for, but at least are in stock!
As for me, I do have a nice functional pair of M&S slippers under the tree for myself from "the kids", but it would have been nice for dh to think of me. I did anticipate his uslelessness and ordered a little something for myself that I was expecting today. Just phoned the shop and they told me it was posted SECOND class post, so it might even be New Year before I see it.
I know Christmas is for the kids and all, but even the kids aren't getting everything they wanted....despite my ordering well in advance!
Uggghhhh!!! Can we just cancel Christmas? Guess not as we have spent over £200 on the obligatory food and drink for a family holiday.......I would have been happy with a curry that I would not have had to cook and clean up.
Sorry for the moan...just bah humbug this year!!
