Advanced Night Repair-what would happen if I used it in the morning?

Invested at Estee Lauder today, but the Orange Lady said that it was Only For Use At Night, in quite a stern way. Am curious now, what would happen if I went wild and splashed it on in the am? Surely it would still work? No?

Particularly as I barely remember to Eve Lom off my make-up in the evening, so am unlikely to spend even more time applying ungents after dark.

Would you fall asleep?

Go on. Do it! I dare you!

Merrylegs · 16/12/2008 22:48

NO! Don't do it.

All the little night repair fairies, who come out under cover of darkness while you are snoring to plump up your wrinkles and smooth out the lines with their special advanced fairy dust -

they melt in daylight.

You will kill them!

Well, I've done it! ANR applied at 8am this morning. Haven't fallen into a coma yet, but will let you know!

Bossy orange Estee Lauder lady will hunt you down like a dog and force you to use nothing but Vaseline for the rest of your life for breaking THE RULES..... Good luck!

DasherDancerPrancerFMVixen · 17/12/2008 09:16

your face will fall off!

I think it just risks make you look a bit shiny, and I don;t think makeup sticks well on top of it

other than that, tis fine

aidansyummymummy · 17/12/2008 09:19

It just makes you look oily and foundation will slide, plus it means they can then sell you the day care regime too.

Mrs Badger...crossed post with you there. Sorry!

Molly100 · 17/12/2008 11:12

have used it day and night for years, its great.

I only use the night repair serum in the morning with Clinique superdefence moisturiser on top. At night I use Eve Lom to cleanse and then apply nothing and sleep in 'bare' skin - I read somewhere about the merits of this and it stuck. I think I read on the serum blurb somewhere that is is in fact suitable for am and pm use. I reckon the 'night-time only' is just a marketing ply to flog day time products. I also use it under eyes etc although I know there is a 'special' formulation for eyes only, 'spect it's all the same stuff though.
