yuk

Lizzylou · 16/12/2008 13:01

Oh no, far too many memories of being a drunk student struggling to do a body up after the loo. Finding the body suit flappng round outside my 501's.
Even fastening my mates up.
NOOOO!

OrmIrian · 16/12/2008 13:02

No. Refuse to beleive it.

Unless they start to make them for long people I won't be wearing one. Horrible things.

HassledElf · 16/12/2008 13:02

Yay! I loved bodies - perfect for holding in the spare tyres. Agree that they should never be worn when there is any possibility you might get pissed.

I am wincing at the thought of being cut in half by those bloody things.

However, they keep your kidneys warm.

southeastastra · 16/12/2008 13:19

at keep your kidneys warm

i wore one when i was pregnant, don't know how i managed it

rubyslippersisappearinginpanto · 16/12/2008 13:20

adult babygros

they were impractical the first time round - all those bloody poppers

made going for a wee a right palaver especially if you were wearing tights as well

OrmIrian · 16/12/2008 13:20

I wore one when drunk once. Not when I put it on. But for some reason I can't quite recall I was also wearing false nails. Oh the comic potential of that situation.....

mrsmaidamess · 16/12/2008 13:22

I never used to wear knickers under mine, did you?

nickytinseltimes · 16/12/2008 13:23

NO knickers?
WHat if you caught yourself in th epoppers?

OrmIrian · 16/12/2008 13:23

Knickers? No. Never considered it really.

mrsmaidamess · 16/12/2008 13:23

I thought they were supposed to do away with the need for pants. Was I wrong?

fishie · 16/12/2008 13:25

what is going on with teh black spandex one in link? there seems to be a giant hair bobble on their stomach.

southeastastra · 16/12/2008 13:28

i wore pants with mine, to stop them riding up

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 16/12/2008 13:30

Oh my mums friend used to wear a cream lace one FASTENED OVER a pair of jodhpurs. It was acceptable in the 80's.

GentleOtter · 16/12/2008 13:30

The one on the top right has a ghosty face on it

HeadFairy · 16/12/2008 13:30

Gah! back to pubes trapped in poppers syndrome - not for me! like Orm I'm tall damn tall for them, get sliced in two!

PoinsettiaPussyCat · 16/12/2008 13:32

this one would certainly keep the kidneys warm nicky

FromGirders · 16/12/2008 13:34

I'm probably going to get shot down here, but

i always rather liked them.

they don't come untucked, they keep your back warm and they don't wrinkle up around your waistline. Having said all that, this was 15 years ago, and I didn't have a muffin top then.
Maybe it helps that I'm quite small, so they don't cut me in half too much?
Yuck at not wearing pants with them!!!

southeastastra · 16/12/2008 14:21

ew dwp, i really don't remember that being acceptable even in the 80s

OP posts:
ChestnutsRoastingonanOpenFlier · 16/12/2008 14:45

i loved them. Do you think they will hold in a muffin top?

Grammaticus · 16/12/2008 14:50

DWP - no it wasn't! It really wasn't!
