What do you think, is it possible to wear a netted prom skirt as daywear?

like this here
with a nice fitted cardigan and suede boots?
I want to get into shape now after 3 pregs but I used to wear pretty skirts with cardis but they are all gone, I really fancy wearing some proms ...but in the daytime for popping to the shops and er..school..am I style mad? It's just that I don't have the got to get into my jeans urge..but a girly fun look...yes that could tempt me out of my post maternity joggers.

One way to make sure you get your money's worth from those major purchases!

You see, my skirts aren't prom dress-ish as such, just prom dress shape ie: v 1950s ish, the sort that you want to spin around in!

The skirt in the OP says: My husband is in middle management and we are thinking of buying a timeshare n Portugal.

BoccaDellaNativita · 15/12/2008 23:20

Oh crikey. Please find me one which says "I am a middle aged woman (somewhat heavier than ideally I would want to be) who still wants to look groovy in my own right, without reference to my husband's professional status or my or his income level". Ditto for a coat, actually.

I would wear one, but not that one. Too shiney.

Try White Stuff for some gorgeous feminine casual wear.

My sons orthodontist at Gloucester Royal Hospital dresses like that - DH usually very keen to take boy sto appointments!
