Have bought a couple of these for DD from next. I don't usually go there but was returning something horrible she'd been bought as a gift and swapped it for a polo neck!

NorbertDentressAngel · 14/12/2008 10:21

Do you mean the clingy thin ones that you can wear underneath other tops (like 70's smocks )? If so I bought one recently from H&M.

Or do you mean the chunkier, knitted ones?

moondog · 14/12/2008 10:22

Oh really?
Everything usually seems logo'd and embroidered to death usually. I'll ch-ch-ch-ch check it out.

I have a particularly stunning photo of myself sporting a red shiny polo neck with a red, yellow and black striped tank top over the top and matching hair slide. It's a 1978 classic!

KbearingGiftsWeTraverseAfar · 14/12/2008 10:24

Don't do this to your children!

moondog · 14/12/2008 10:24

Accessorised by pudding bowl hairstyle and/or polyester flares and tights that gather somewhere around the knees (until yer mum comes nad hoiks you up in them like a sack of potatoes)

My two bfs and i used to wear them with denim skirts with buttons, denim waistcoats and long thick socks...They look so bad on me, never wear polo necks any more

janeite · 14/12/2008 15:24

Gap do them, usually around two for £12. Decent quality, wash well but you may need to size up as the headholes sometimes seem very snug!

CoolYourJets · 14/12/2008 21:54

asda. Cream, Orange and lime I think.

Piffle · 14/12/2008 21:58

mothercare have em for younge ones
Joules do fab ones too

My2Monkeys · 15/12/2008 13:12

I prefer these to rollnecks. They're a skinny fit, so I'd go a size up, but then they last forever. They have some other colours at half price in the sale as well (orange I think and green and maybe some others too)

skibi · 15/12/2008 21:50

they have some here for little ones....

UnfortunatelyMe · 15/12/2008 21:52

Asda £4

moondog · 15/12/2008 23:08

The Moonkids one would have been apt.
Got the perfect one in Next tonight.Looks great under a corduroy Gap smock. Thanks again.

Am I the only grown up who quite likes to wear a polo under a top?

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 15/12/2008 23:36

Oi! I need to know.

It's my plan for tomorrow

Am going to go to work looking like a 5 year old.

moondog · 16/12/2008 07:49

No.it's fine as long as you are not overly endowed in either waist or boobs .
