Pretty, Stylish (Unfuddy) Nighty for my mum - Where from ? HELP

Mum is going into hospital after Xmas to have a new hip. She's a very young at heart 66 year old and wants a new nightie for Christmas so she can wear it in hospital.

Where can I buy her a nice, pretty and practical nightie from ? No animal prints, shoe lace straps or big slits, just comfort without the old fashioned, fuddy duddy style nighties that they seem to market for women over a certain age.

Help Please

Was going to say they had nice ones in Woolies in the Chapter 21 range, but thats no help. Bon Marche?

Why not M & S? they have a huge range.

Looked on M&S website but nothing really grabbed me. I'd like something fairly pretty as well as practical as it will be a gift ...
Didn't think it'd be this difficult

The hunt continues ...

White Company nice and stylish and a bit special.
None could ever get excited about a nightie (or indeed owt else) from M & S could they? Be honest.

Cologne and Cotton do pretty cotton here.

I really, really like my flannel M & S pjs.

Tillyboo · 11/12/2008 23:43

The Cologne and Cotton is exactly what I am after but they are a tad too expensive - shame as they'd be perfect. Mum would be really cross if I spent £58 on a nightie ...

Yes - they are shocking - I posted that because they do have amazing sales and everywhere seems to be putting their sales on now, rather than after Christmas. It might be worth giving them a call just in case they have lowered prices but not on the website.

I walked along Marylebone High Street and Oxford Street today an it was like being mugged by Sales signs.
