Colour analysis - What 'season' would dd be?

I had a colour consultation many years ago which decided I was a 'winter'. It revolutionised my wardrobe - I have a pack of swatches and buy within those colours which I know suit me.

Now I'm trying to work out what 'season' dd1 might be - she's 16 and we're going to a wedding soon so she needs a smart outfit.

She's definitely not a winter like me - she's just tried on a grey dress of mine which looks good on me, but left her washed out.

She has blue eyes, peaches-and-cream complexion and light brown hair (which used to be blonde).

Brown suits her, as does green - both colours I never wear.

Anyone know more about this? Any idea what she might be and what colours would be her 'season'?

(I used to have the book on it which would have answered these questions, but I loaned it to someone and didn't get it back - couldn't remember who I gave it to).

TIA

Spring?

try pastel shades on her.

spring - but its not as simple as pastel shades - its warm tones, muted colours like turquoise as oppose to blue,
but if these make her look drab then she could be a summer - in which case she'll need 'clear' shades like baby blue, ice lemon

Thanks - we're going shopping tomorrow, so will experiment a bit.

I suppose the difference between winter and summer shades is the strength of the colours - mine are clear, but tend to be strong like pillar-box red, black and grey.

Spring palette here if that's any help.

Thanks portandstilton - that's really handy.

I'll try to emulate the colour consultant stuff and hold up those colours near her face...my bag of sewing scraps will come in handy.

If they're not for her she must be a summer.

Anyone have a summer palette?

Many thanks - we're having a girly night in (dh is working late), so are going to try to determine what she is before hitting the shops tomorrow.

colour me beautfiul! there's a blast from the past. brilliant.

I'm summer - dark ash blonde hair that used to be "post it" blonde, mid blue eyes, fair skin that burns before it tans, a few freckles and I go pink when exercising. Same colours as MerryChristmasPANDAG, also bright red, raspberry pink, leaf green and baby blue. I am always complimented on how good I look in baby blue. Black does me no favours.
