Night out tomorrow...was going to buy a new top but my oven is bust and I need to repair it to cook my turkey so can I wear...

a summer floaty (short) T-dress that looks more like a tunic on me over a pair of trousers to a Celidah?

It is black and white so not too summery in colour...but it is a spring/summer dress..can I wear it in winter with a pair of trousers to make it wintery?
