What is it like?

Mine is just long and brown. Whenever I go to the hairdressers I ask for more of a style but don't really know what to ask for and it always looks pretty much the same.

I want to look more together and think hair plays a big part in this but don't know where to start-help!

long and brown

is that not a style?

Mamazontopofsanta · 08/12/2008 15:55

ask them to give yu some more layers and maybe a fringe of some sort.

i am useless, myhair is crap

WowOoo · 08/12/2008 15:59

What's wrong with long and brown? Sounds lovely!

Went for an exciting style a year ago and have only just got my lovely boring bob back!! (it is the only thing that really suits me and long hair doesn't, wish it did)Style was far too high maintenance for me.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. But if you hate it ask a hairdresser/friend that you trust for advice on your face shape etc

deanychip · 08/12/2008 16:05

i went from very very long to short choppy bob and have it a bit different each time i have it cut.

use ghd's on it, takes about 4.5 mins to do each day, easy.

claireybaubles · 08/12/2008 16:39

WowOoo it would be lovely if it looked like thisbut it doesn't. It is just there.

I think the real problem is that I don't know how to style it rather than the actual cut, but more layers might help it look more styled I suppose...(or more of a mess )

Longish, blonde with a side fringe, naturally straight..

MrsSeanBean · 08/12/2008 17:10

Long and brown sounds classic and lovely. If you're a bit bored with the shape, go for long layers and maybe some feathering around the face (unless hair is on the fine/fizzy side, in which case avoid feathering like the plague! )

Anna8888 · 08/12/2008 17:11

It is just below shoulder length, with a longish fringe which is slightly parted, and quite a few layers.

Dark blonde.

JacksFirstChristmasMama · 08/12/2008 17:15

Maybe get some caramel and copper highlights. Layers, side-swept fringe. Bit longer in front than in the back.
And could you ask your stylist for a styling lesson? I finally asked mine exactly how to do my hair at home and what to use, she showed me step by step and it was fab, because I had no clue what a difference good technique makes.

MrsSeanBean · 08/12/2008 17:16

Oh yes, I gorgot we were meant to be giving our own hairstyle as well

It was blonde and long with long layers, but due to the credit crunch I did a home dye job to take it back to something closer to my natural light brown colour.

MrsSeanBean · 08/12/2008 17:17

forgot I meant

asicsgirl · 09/12/2008 16:01

short and flicky with an asymmetric fringe.

i love it as it works with my hair's natural tendency to stick out all over the place. and best of all i don't have to blow dry it.

NowICanSpellGeansaiNollaig · 09/12/2008 18:49

that sounds like the hair cut I should have ascisgirl.

ComeOVeneer · 09/12/2008 18:54

Just had it done yesterday, went from light blonde ( highlights) all one length (3 inches below shoulders), to a much darker richer blonde (toffee/caramel type streaks) an inch or so above shoulders with lots of choppy layers and a side swept fringe. Looks good (atm) but will see what it looks like tomorrow after I have washed and styled it myself .

asicsgirl · 09/12/2008 19:05

see 'scarf' pic on my profile nowicanspell please note i don't always look quite this ill - just had a week of stomach flu!

let's have a look comeoveneer!

NowICanSpellGeansaiNollaig · 09/12/2008 19:08

asicsgirl · 10/12/2008 10:07
