You know the ones I mean- elasticated waist, sewn in creases. I need some for dh's great gran and I remember I used to buy them for my gran in Marks and Spencers or Littlewoods or the like but these don't seem to do them any more and I don't know where else to look.

What about those flyers that come with the weekend papers? Can't remember the exact title but they are usually big on 'slacks' and the like.

BoccaDellaNativita · 08/12/2008 12:52

Yes, or the small ads in the paper itself. Have you got a Bon Marche locally? Some of their stuff seems to be designed with great grandmas in mind. (Actually, I quite envy your dh having a great gran. Mine died long before I was born and dd doesn't have any either).

Lands End
[rummages]
any good?

DeckHallsWithFIMBOughsofHolly · 08/12/2008 13:13

PMSL at slacks.

I know the type of thing you mean though as my mum always dragged me to look at those and pinafores for my gran before she passed away.

weepootle · 08/12/2008 16:17

Those aren't quite hitting the mark MrsB but I'll take a look in Bon Marche (think we have one) as someone else has already suggested that. Thanks all.

cotton traders is granny trouser central. My mum loves it (and is always recommending stuff to me! )

Hi Weepootle

How about this sort of thing - think my gran used to get stuff from them back in the dark ages ...

mejon · 08/12/2008 16:38

What about these Chums . My mother has bought from here in the past

kdk at those prices- I couldn't spend so much on something so vile .

mejon, the first pair on your 'chums' link are perfect - they even come in a 25" inside leg which should fit lovely, thank you.

Are these from Damart any good?

MrsSeanBean · 08/12/2008 17:05

Well obviously they are absolutely awful, but Grannies might like them (bless!)

gibba8 · 08/12/2008 18:57

marks and spencers also sell these lovely trousers in their range for older ladies (classic range I think) as I buy them for my older ladies in the home where i work. They cost about £15 per pair.

weepootle · 08/12/2008 19:30

Ah, thanks gibba- I couldn't find any on Marks' website but it looks like they don't do that range online, will check them out instore.
