Urgent- stockings and no suspender belt! What to do, leaving in 30 minutes!

aargh, was going to wear a bodice with the clips on but doesnt look good at top of dress so now wearing normal bra but only have stockings!

They have sticky jelly type stuff at top and stay reasonably in place but I doubt they will stay in place for the whole day...
No time to go to shop and get a suspender belt as train is leaving in an hour (will take me 30 minutes to get there)

Anybody have a quick fix tip?

Greatly appreciated

are you sure they are stockings and not hold up's?

if so they will be fine as tehy are

RustyBear · 06/12/2008 10:58

Stick-on velcro?

kiltycoldbum · 06/12/2008 10:58

they sound like hold ups with that sticky bit on top, should be fine

VinoEsmeralda · 06/12/2008 11:00

thanks they must be hold ups (hold up virgin) but on one leg the top is rolling up IYSWIM

If they have the sticky stuff they are hold ups. If you have used body lotion since your last shower they will not hold up. I have terrible memories of having to step out of my hold ups and leave them behind in the church at a wedding when they suddenly fell to the floor (don't worry, I went back for them after).

If you have used body lotion I would stick an elastic band on or tie some ribbon round a la garter!

selotape.

AnAngelWithin · 06/12/2008 11:09

tit tape

DoesntChristmasDragOn · 06/12/2008 11:09

If they are holdups which have lost their hold, stick selotape onto the rubbery bit and then peel it off ( do it a few times). It removes the dead skin etc that's stopping them hold up.

One of those sticky lint rollers would probably work too.

you'll be all pleased to know they stayed up no falling over either so done well Was lovely wedding!
