They come out with some crackers don't they, especially those over made up 40 somethings covered in bracelets and necklaces?

Overheard v. serious convo yesterday re speaker's inability to wear taupe (eh??). Also on agenda were Louise's astounding weightloss and in depth analysis of 'this season's accessories'.

I sometimes amuse myself by joining in in similar inane vein.

i consider most people incapable of wearing taupe but it doesn't appear to stop them.

MrsBadger · 03/12/2008 12:15

yes

but then again if you eavesdropped on our tearoom full of cutting-edge academics you would hear some utter twaddle

Yesterday: why children should be filled with helium, enabling you to tow them behind you on a string and negating the need for cumbersome buggies, bikeseats etc

moondog · 03/12/2008 12:17

What is taupe?
Brown?

And while on subjest, wtf is 'teal'?

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 03/12/2008 12:18

taupe is beige

teal is where bluey green meets greeny blue

TheGoat · 03/12/2008 12:19

world of taupe

i imagined it was a sort of pensioners beige but i am wrong apparently

TheGoat · 03/12/2008 12:20

moondog · 03/12/2008 12:29

Taupe is more what I thought guff spouting shop women call cacao.

You learn stuff every day huh?

(Was given lot of v serious advice on danger of'over accessorising' party dress and advised to do daft things with a 'rust' ribbon.

Which I have.

OP posts:
TheGoat · 03/12/2008 12:31

moondog · 03/12/2008 12:33
