Ever since my daughter was born 15 months ago my hands have been in a dreadful state - red raw, dry and rough. I use the Hemp hand cream from Body Shop which is okay but was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations?

I've tried the almond one from Body shop, L'Occitane, Body Shop hemp, Aveena, Lush, E45, Dr Haushka, and loads of others.

Always come back to Neutrogena.

Wuta Kamille from John Lewises, mega thick, smells lush and costs under 3 quid. Look for the bright green tube with a yellow and white flower on it.

You can also buy it in v handy tin in Waitrose.

If you don't live near Lewises, you can get it on ebay.

You MUST try the Clarins one - have tried nearly all the ones suggested here and always go back to Clarins. It smells lovely too.

Clarins one really lovely and nourishing, but for extraordinarily dry/chapped/rough skin try Lotil cream (over the counter), it was the only thing that worked when my hands were literally cracking and bleeding.

Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream here as well.

L'occitane shea butter is great. Recently on ebay I got 10 little tubes, like artist's paint tubes, for about £10, and I put one in the pocket of all my coats, bags, and in car, so I always have some around.
