I have occassionally posted in this topic in response to plus sized mnetters style posts and show pictures of my dear friend Fig,who I regard as a very stylish and interesting dresser - anyway,I just wanted to show her off again

that website looks good. is it a shopping site or just for info?

LulumamaLovesLatkes · 02/12/2008 15:27

i love the hot pink gloves & bag..

christMAScomesbutonceayear · 02/12/2008 15:27

do you know, I haven't a clue - she just sent it to me...think it's a style guide really..she was approached by someone there as she belongs to various plus sized discussion boards and I think they'd spotted her there.

IMHO she looks dreadful. She could look nice but that red wrap cardi pullling tight over a very large tummy !! Why do some large people think dressing up in very bright colours is flattering - it almost looks like a complete Per Una outfit.

LedodgyChristmasjumper · 02/12/2008 15:46

At least she has an independant sense of style and doesn't folow the crowd. I think she looks cool and she isn't that large.

christMAScomesbutonceayear · 02/12/2008 15:55

she isn't that large ! and why shouldn't she dress in bright colours ?

Yes large women should all wear black and only go out at night.

Lulumamawanker · 02/12/2008 15:58

you should not even leave the house, never mind if it is dark or not

higgle · 02/12/2008 16:21

since when did "plus size" not equal large?
Seriously each and every bit of these outfits is the sort of thing that mns point at on other threads and say look yuck - it all says "look at me" in a rather tasteless way.

christMAScomesbutonceayear · 02/12/2008 16:32

sorry you feel like that higgle - I just think that she looks pretty striking and follows her own mind which is refreshing and imaginative no matter what size she is

She is beautiful, and looks great fun! Does she want another friend?

christMAScomesbutonceayear · 04/12/2008 10:56

oh thank you hippi ! you'd love her,she is my best friend and is brilliant fun

hippipotami · 04/12/2008 10:59

She looks fantastic fun, and if she is your best friend she must be pretty brilliant!
She is the sort of person I would seek out in a crowd (school gates etc).

christMAScomesbutonceayear · 04/12/2008 11:14

yes, I would think, she looks very interesting ! that's why I'm proud of her - she is never dull and it doesn't matter what shape or size you are, you can still dress with flair and imagination (she despairs of my wimpishness with colour/pattern)

OP posts:
earthpixie · 04/12/2008 11:50

I think she looks confident, fun and stylish.

christMAScomesbutonceayear · 04/12/2008 11:54

thank you earthpixie -she is !
