Jigsaw- anyone else disappointed?

I have mentioned this before...but is it me or do you agree?

Having been a Jigsaw fan for ages, I am deeply disappointed at their looks this season. I used to go into Jigsaw and want to buy everything. Now i can't find anything I like! It's all droopy and drab and crazy prices. The only skirt I liked in silk was around £139.

I agree,Honestfriend.
Jigsaw used to do quirky tops/cardigans/skirs that were not too expensive.
Suppose Kew took on that role initially but Kew now 'Gap' like in it's plainness, imo

agree- I was just prompted to this as I have had another look at their website today as well as the shop. I hope they go back to what they were.

I do buy at Kew, but they too have done away with what I'd call the frilly girly stuff this season and it's all pretty utilitarian.

Utilitarian,that is the word!
I like their plain tops and things and they last well, but they are nothing out of the ordinary, ifyswim.

Went all the way to London to try to spend a Kew voucher and was really disappointed. Then found the Guildford branch - don't know if it was just the layout or timing, but much more appealing. Just had an email saying seasonal reductions but they don't show any on the website.

honestfriend · 29/11/2008 08:50

I was in Kew yesterday- they had lots of reductions, mainly on stock from earlier in the season. There were no reductions on coats or newer items like wool trousers etc. I couldn't see any reductions on items on the current website- the reductions seem to be on clothes they got in around Sept, including a couple of items I bough then! Grr!

Yup very disappointed with Jigsaw, drab drab drab - and their much trumpeted website is still not ready - not that it's much of a problem given the current offerings.

honestfriend · 29/11/2008 13:26

JIgsaw website up and running but nothing on there that isn't in stores.

i find that it is worth trying things on in jigsaw - he cut and fit often makes things funkier - ive got a very plain blue v neck top that looks great on but wasnt great on the hanger

TheNewsMongersGeansaiNollag · 29/11/2008 18:54

I agree, whistles and jigsaw, I would have licked the windows of both shops with equal love.

Now I still love whistles, from afar, but it's left jigsaw trailing.

Jigsaw too expensive for me but that doesn't break my heart.

TheNewsMongersGeansaiNollag · 29/11/2008 18:55

I mean, once upon a time I would have loved them both equally. What I typed was nonsensical.

SilentTerror · 29/11/2008 19:18

I like Noa Noa for that 'quirky look, but as I live in the frozen North West(quite literally today) there are only bits from the range in little boutiques,no actual Noa shop.
If I lived in London I wopuld buy loads of cardigans, skirts, dresses etc from there!

honestfriend · 29/11/2008 21:30

I quite like Noa Noa- some stuff- though haven't bought any! find some stuff a bit frumpy?

BTW Jigsaw have reduced some prices on their website! (Do they read this??) The skirt I was after ins reduced by about £25 but it is not available in the colours I like-only seen the other colour in the stores.
