Does anyone know of any really nice brands - perhaps something she wouldn't have tried before.
Thanks

no
they are all th esame.
the only thing i have found that is slightly better value for money than the usual stuff, is the one dd got on prescription. diprobase. its a tenner for a big bottle. which is about what the scented flavoured ones work out to per litre. and far far far better imo

The Soap & Glory range in Boots is lovely. Nice smell, cool packaging and on a 3 for 2 offer at the moment!!

Raggydoll · 27/11/2008 21:21

i agree - the best i have is a 'free on kids prescription aqueous cream', I think she may have something a bit more up market in mind though .

I absolutely love this body butter from M&S. It smells lovely and feels great going on. Also on 3 for 2!

I like L'Occitance en Provence ones. I think they have a little set of a few different ones on their website. I've got it on my Christmas list

I quite like soap and glory - it is quite retro looking.

anyone know of any sophisticated looking ones to compare with the s&g?

apparently you can make your own by adding nice smelly essential oils to aqueous cream

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/11/2008 21:23

here

I love Soap and Glory's 'The Righteous Body Butter' (from Boots), smells and feels gorgeous.

LOL at stitch.

Akamuti do the most fab body butters - I particularly like Mandarin

Did you have a budget in mind? For a total blow out for a great friend (and I never pay more than a fiver for face moisturiser let alone body) how about this

Tillyscoutsmum · 27/11/2008 21:32

Love origins as well

Raggydoll · 27/11/2008 21:32

probably about £20.00 (although I like the molton brown one for a different friend, for her birthday on xmas eve)

I like the sets where you get 3 or 4 trial sizes as I think she likes having lots of different 'flavours' to try.
