Pedipeds - anyone buy these for their toddlers?

Currently have the a*se with Clark's for (a) measuring DS different three times in three branches in three days and (b) only every having three boring boy styles in stock.

Local independent shoe shop assures me he doesn't need big clumpy structured shoes till he's 2, and recommends Pedipeds.

I love the look and idea of them, but are they good? Suitable for the great outdoors?

Any input welcome!

I've bought DD a couple of pairs via US ebay. They are lovely and soft. She wears them to nursery and outside. The only issue we have had with them is that now DD really doesn't like hard soled shoes. She is coming up to 2 now and I am considering Flexipeds.
